77.3% of Pittsburg County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 43,836 citizens living in Pittsburg County in 2021, 77.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 33,877 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 17,331 were male, constituting 51.2%, and 16,546 were female, making up 48.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Pittsburg County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 75.7%.
