Akiera Hawk scores 12 with 4 rebounds as Southeastern Oklahoma State defeats Southern Nazarene

On Thursday, Feb. 26, Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm defeated the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm 65-60, with former Pittsburg High School standout Akiera Hawk making her mark on the game.

The sophomore forward, standing 6′1″, recorded 12 points, four rebounds and three blocks in just 16 minutes played.

Hawk was among several former Lee Network OK area athletes competing on Thursday. Teammates Tori Kilburn, Katie Allen and Stevie Stinchcomb each appeared for Savage Storm during the victory.

Kilburn, a 5′10″ freshman forward from Hartshorne High School, finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and two assists while playing a full 40 minutes.

Allen, a 5′7″ freshman guard out of Hartshorne High School, contributed six points, five rebounds and two assists across 33 minutes.

Stinchcomb, a 5′5″ senior guard from McAlester High School, recorded eight points, four assists and three rebounds in 30 minutes of action.

Coming up, Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm will play Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs on the road Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m.
