The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, School Resource Officer Division, attended firearms training with ballistic shields and ballistic helmets recently purchased by Durant and Silo Schools for our SRO division. The training was conducted by Sheriff Johnny Christian, Undersheriff Joey Tucker and Chief Deputy Scott Phelps.

The schools SRO’s are the first line of protection for all of our children while earning their education. Currently there are four deputies assigned to our schools.

Sergeant Windy Bridges, Durant

Deputy Justin Hall, Durant

Deputy Jesse West, Durant

Deputy John Wyatt, Silo

We are thankful for the partnerships with the Bryan County school districts and the devotion and dedication of these deputies.
