Eastern Oklahoma State College Crystal Ortiz Earns Second NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week Honors

Eastern Oklahoma State College forward Crystal Ortiz has earned her second Player of the Week award for the season. She was named the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week for Dec. 5-11. This marks the second time an Eastern women’s basketball player has earned the distinction so far this season.

Ortiz is a sophomore from Sallisaw, Okla. She is currently averaging 18.7 points per game while shooting 40.1 percent from the field and 31.7 percent from beyond the arc. Ortiz is also shooting 88.1 percent from the free-throw line so far this season.
