Caitlin Kobiske put up 18 points in the second half but were unable to close out a comeback versus Ouachita Baptist with a 74-68 loss on Saturday afternoon in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 7-18 overall on the year and 5-15 in Great American Conference play.

Kobiske finished the contest with a game-high 24 points while shooting 7-of-10 from the floor and 10-of-10 at the free throw line.

Grace Alverson was next in line with 13 points, while Lauryn Scalice and Maci Bookout put up eight apiece and Briley Moon finished with seven.

Moon led the way with six rebounds, while Abbie Barr dished out three assists.

Southeastern fell behind early with the Tigers scoring the first six points, but the Storm answered with an 8-2 run to knot the game at 8-8.

An Alverson three at the 4:45 mark of the first quarter would give the Storm its first lead of the day at 14-13, and they would hold another at 16-15 before OBU scored the final five points of the frame to take a 20-16 lead.

SE would keep the deficit manageable before putting together a 7-0 run to take a 29-26 lead at the 3:38 mark of the second quarter.

OBU would answer with a 9-0 run to lead by six points before a Bookout layup would close the gap to 37-33 at the half.

Southeastern would again stay close and eventually tie the game at 43-43 on a Kobiske layup with 4:49 to play in the third.

The Tigers followed with a 10-2 run to lead by eight points before the Storm cut the deficit back to 56-52 after three quarters.

OBU would push its lead back out to as many as eight points in the fourth, but SE would chip away and close to within 70-68 with 36 seconds to play, but the Tigers would connect on all four of its free throws inside the final 20 seconds to make the final 74-68.
