Schools across Latimer County are officially back and the Latimer County Sheriff's Office takes school safety very seriously. Our deputies will be actively patrolling school bus stops and if they catch you passing a stopped school bus with the stop sign extended you will be issued a citation. The Sheriff has issued to his deputies a ZERO tolerance on this issue. Also, several school busses are now equipped with video cameras to catch violators and we will file charges on any offender the footage catches. Our goal is to make Latimer County a safe County for all our citizens, especially our children.
