Southeastern Oklahoma State University Closes Road Swing with Loss at Drury

Southeastern closed out its Missouri road swing with a tough, 3-0 loss to Drury on Saturday afternoon in Springfield, Mo.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 1-10 on the year heading into its home opener versus Southwestern Oklahoma State on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

D'Nari Mills posted a team-best seven kills to lead the offense, while Jadyn James was next in line with five.

McKenzie Turkoly led the way at setter with 18 assists while ading four kills and turning in a team-best 11 digs.

Peyton Kriegel matched Turkoly's team-leading 11 digs, while Amaya Constantino was right behind with 10.

At the net, Michera Moffett turned in a pair of blocks, while four others added one.

DU took an early lead in set one and used an 11-2 run to take control of the set on its way to a 25-17 win int he set and a 1-0 lead.

Another hot start for the Panthers would leave SE in a 10-3 hole early with DU pulling away for a 25-12 win int he set.

Drury continued its quick starts and used an early run to pull away to a 25-15 win in the final set.
