Wilburton's third grade got to see a mock trial today at the Latimer County Courthouse and afterwards got to see police cars from WPD, Choctaw Nation Tribal Police and the Latimer County Sheriff's Office, then got to walk through the Latimer County Jail. Everyone had a great time, thank you to Judge Meg Nicholson, Jill Mabry, Dani Flenner and Wilburton school teachers for making this possible and thank you to all the law enforcement officers who helped. It is important for kids to know how our judicial process works and to see Law Enforcement Officer's are friendly and are here to help.
