Oklahoma volleyball senior Grace Talpash was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team, the association announced on Tuesday.
Talpash, a marketing major with a minor in sports business, advances to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees announced in late December. It marks her first career Academic All-District honor and first for the program since Sallie McLaurin in 2013.
Over her three seasons at OU, Talpash has tallied 290 assists, 124 digs and 19 service aces in 58 matches. In 2021, she recorded a career-high 12 digs in her start against SMU on Sept. 16. During her sophomore campaign, she recorded 285 assists, including a career-high 48 against Kansas on Oct. 16, 2020. Prior to OU, she spent her freshman campaign at University of San Francisco.
In the classroom, Talpash was named to the 2021 Academic All-Big 12 Team and is on the OU Price College of Business honor roll. The Temecula, California native plans on transitioning to beach volleyball for her last year of college and pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
