The Latimer County Sheriff's Office and the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested the suspect at the Wilburton Choctaw Nation Travel Plaza today. The vehicle was stolen from LeFlore County and during the theft a gunshot went through the windshield, bullet fragments grazed the suspects right arm. This was all possible with the cooperation between the Latimer County Sheriff's Office, the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police and the Poteau Police department. We work hard to solve cases and return stolen property. Our goal is to make Latimer County a better place for all our citizens. The suspect is considered innocent until proven guilty, and the name will not be released until charges are filed.
