Census Bureau: 76.2% of people in Coal County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 5,294 citizens living in Coal County in 2021, 76.2% were old enough to vote, equating to 4,033 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 1,993 were male, constituting 49.4%, and 2,040 were female, making up 50.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Coal County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 75.7%.
