5.3% of Bryan County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Bryan County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,118 people out of the 45,809 living in Bryan County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Bryan County has decreased compared to the 5.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Bryan County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 20,087 people who had a job during that time, 20 were employed in the Armed Forces and 20,067 belonged to the civilian labor force.
