More than 2,000 students from 70-plus schools throughout the region competed in the 108th annual Oklahoma Inter-High School Curriculum Meet Wednesday at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Students competed in academic contests in areas such as art, business communication, computer science, English, mathematics, modern languages, psychology, sciences and social sciences.

This event dates back to 1910, when it was first held and known as the Southeastern High School Track Meet.

Dr. James Britton was the contest coordinator, while Southeastern faculty and staff volunteered their time to assist at the event.
